The East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) football tipped the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 22-17 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Stokes for a Northwest 1A outing on Friday, September 27.
With the defeat, Wilkes Central drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host North Surry (Mount Airy, NC) to clash with the Greyhounds in a 2A Foothills outing on Friday, September 20. The Greyhounds come into the outing with a record of 2-2. North Surry lost 24-13 in their recent non-league outing against West Stokes (King, NC)
