North Carolina High School Football - Southwest Onslow trounces Goldsboro

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Southwest Onslow Stallions football squad scored a decisive 55-12 victory over the Goldsboro Cougars.

The Stallions (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs enter the East Central 2A match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Wallace-Rose Hill smashed Pender (Burgaw, NC), 27-12, in a non-league bout.

The Cougars now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Midway for a non-league bout on Friday, September 20. Goldsboro will encounter a Raiders team coming off a 37-34 non-league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 3-1.
