St. Francis Golden Knights (La Canada, CA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Muir Mustangs (Pasadena, CA), 38-29 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Francis improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Golden Knights travel to St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA) to play the Swordsmen in a battle on Thursday, October 3. The Swordsmen go into the battle with a record of 4-0.

The Mustangs now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Margarita for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21. Muir will play a Eagles team coming off a 45-13 non-league win over Downey (Downey, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
