The Vista Grande Spartans football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Sunnyside Blue Devils to 10 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Prescott for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 18.

With the defeat, Sunnyside drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Thunderbolts in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 18. The Thunderbolts come into the test with a record of 1-0. Mica Mountain won 28-12 in their recent non-league test against Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ)
