In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Mayo Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 7-0 victory over the Austin Packers.

The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Farmington (Farmington, MN). The Tigers go into the Class AA Section 1 outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Farmington Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN), 0-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Packers play the Byron Bears (Byron, MN) in a Class A Section 1 outing, on Saturday, September 14. Austin will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Bears go into the outing with a 3-1 record after their 8-0 league win over Stewartville (Stewartville, MN).
