Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Chippewa Chipps (Doylestown, OH) and the visiting Hiland Hawks (Berlin, OH), saw Chippewa's soccer squad hold off Hiland by a count of 2-1.

The Chipps (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Nordonia (Macedonia, OH). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Nordonia was edged by Twinsburg (Twinsburg, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Hawks confront the Archbishop Hoban Knights (Akron, OH) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 14. Hiland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Wooster (Wooster, OH).
