Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) and the visiting Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN), saw Owatonna's soccer squad hold off Mankato East by a count of 2-1.

The Huskies (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Chaska (Chaska, MN). The Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Chaska tipped Jefferson (Bloomington, MN), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) in a Class A Section 2 battle, on Saturday, September 14. Mankato East will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Scarlets enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 4-1 league win over Northfield (Northfield, MN).
