The Dukes (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Nelson County was toppled by Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 52-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Colonels battle the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 19. Altavista will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 24-14 non-league win over George Washington (Danville, VA).
