With the win, Athens advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI) to play the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Grand Blanc 22-22 in their recent non-league battle against Heritage (Saginaw, MI)

The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Seaholm for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21. Oak Park will play a Maples team coming off a 21-7 non-league win over Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Maples record now stands at 3-0.
