Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL), 37-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Thornwood advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to play the Falcons in a battle on Thursday, October 24. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 0-2.

The Raptors now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Thornton for a battle on Thursday, September 19. Rich Township will play a Wildcats team coming off a 36-24 non-league win over Reavis (Burbank, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.
