In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Scituate Spartans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Shea Raiders.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Chieftains come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Ponaganset edged St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Raiders meet the Central Falls Warriors (Central Falls, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Shea will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI).
