Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) and the host Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), saw Fort Hill's soccer squad triumph over Catoctin by a count of 7-2.
The Sentinels (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Northern (Accident, MD). The Huskies enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Northern was overwhelmed by Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings (Buckeystown, MD) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 13. Catoctin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 2-3 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD).
