Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) and the visiting Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), saw Deming's soccer squad hold off Mayfield by a count of 2-1.

The Wildcats (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Gadsden (Anthony, NM). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Gadsden tipped Silver (Silver City, NM), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Trojans battle the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 21. Mayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
