Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) and the host Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), saw Hoke County's soccer squad hold off Pine Forest by a count of 2-1.

The Bucks (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders enter the Sandhills 3A/4A battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Richmond Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 1-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Trojans battle the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) in a All American 3A/4A battle, on Monday, September 16. Pine Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).
