Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Southwest Christian Stars (Chaska, MN) and the host Watertown-Mayer Royals (Watertown, MN), saw Southwest Christian's soccer squad triumph over Watertown-Mayer by a count of 6-1.

The Stars (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mound-Westonka (Mound, MN). The White Hawks enter the Class A Section 6 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Mound-Westonka tipped Jordan (Jordan, MN), 5-3, in a league battle.

Next up, the Royals battle the Providence Academy Lions (Plymouth, MN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 14. Watertown-Mayer will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 0-7 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to St. Paul Academy-Summit (St. Paul, MN).
