In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Kendrick Cherokees volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Early County Bobcats.

The Cherokees (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Raiders enter the 2A Area 1 challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Shaw was beaten by Sumter County (Americus, GA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA) in a 1A Area 1 challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Early County will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record.
