Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) and the visiting Frederick Cadets (Frederick, MD), observed Middletown's volleyball team hold off Frederick by a count of 3-2.

The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Glenelg (Glenelg, MD). The Gladiators enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Glenelg got by Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cadets battle the St. James Saints (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Frederick will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
