With the win, South Eugene improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Axe host North Medford (Medford, OR) to face the Black Tornado in a 6A Southwest test on Tuesday, September 17. The Black Tornado go into the test with a record of 7-2. North Medford won 3-1 in their recent league test against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR)

The Highlanders now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Churchill for a 5A Midwestern test on Tuesday, September 17. North Eugene will face a Lancers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Springfield (Springfield, OR). The Lancers record now stands at 2-2.
