Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) and the visiting University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), observed Shrine Catholic's volleyball team top University Liggett by a tally of 3-0.

The Knights (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Regina (Warren, MI). The enter the Catholic - AA contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Regina beat Lutheran North (Macomb, MI), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Knights meet the Roeper Roughriders (Birmingham, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. University Liggett will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Roughriders enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Clarenceville (Livonia, MI).
