The Academy of the New Church Lions felled the host Jenkintown Drakes football team by a score of 42-12 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions play the Hill School Rams (Pottstown, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Academy of the New Church will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 36-6 non-league loss to Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA).

With the defeat, Jenkintown drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Drakes travel to Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA) to meet the Lions in a Freelance test on Friday, September 19. The Lions come into the test with a record of 2-2. Lower Moreland lost 42-14 in their recent non-league test against Springfield Township (Erdenheim, PA)
