The Johnston Dragons football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Ames Little Cyclones to 14 in the Dragons league triumph on Friday.

The Dragons now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Liberty for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Johnston will face a Lightning team coming off a 28-7 league loss to Linn-Mar (Marion, IA). The Lightning record now stands at 2-1.

The Little Cyclones (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Norwalk was ripped by Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA), 35-20, in a league challenge.
