Pennsylvania High School Football - Troy defeats Athens

September 12, 2025: Athens, PA 18810

Spectators at Friday's league bout between the Troy Trojans (Troy, PA) and the host Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA), saw Troy's football team gain a win over Athens by a final score of 51-35.

With the win, Troy advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Towanda (Towanda, PA) to encounter the Black Knights in a PIAA District IV bout on Friday, September 19. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Towanda lost 33-12 in their recent league match against Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA)

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, PA) in a Northern Tier - Large match, on Friday, September 19. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 4-0 record after their 24-14 league win over Canton (Canton, PA).
