The Bear River Bruins football squad scored 19 points and limited the visiting Golden Sierra Grizzlies to 12 in the Bruins non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bruins now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wheatland for a Pioneer Valley League test on Friday, September 19. Bear River will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 53-16 non-league win over Woodland (Woodland, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Golden Sierra moves to 2-1 on the season. The Grizzlies host Lindhurst (Olivehurst, CA) to face the Blazers in a Sierra Delta League challenge on Friday, September 19. The Blazers go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Lindhurst won 30-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixon (Dixon, CA)
