In Friday's league match, the host Bessemer Academy Rebels football squad scored a good 32-20 triumph over the Valiant Cross Academy Warriors.
The Rebels (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL). The Colts come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Hooper Academy was beaten by Edgewood Academy (Elmore, AL), 60-17, in a league match.
