The Cartersville Hurricanes football squad scored 45 points and limited the host Dalton Catamounts to 14 in the Hurricanes league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Hurricanes face the Woodland Wildcats (Cartersville, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 challenge, on Friday, September 19. Cartersville will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 36-30 non-league loss to Adairsville (Adairsville, GA).

The Catamounts (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Allatoona (Acworth, GA). The Buccaneers go into the AAAA Region 7 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Allatoona toppled Cedartown (Cedartown, GA), 20-7, in a league challenge.
