Pennsylvania High School Football - Punxsutawney holds off Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion]

The Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) football nipped the host Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] (Clarion, PA), 24-21 in Friday's league contest.

The Chucks (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Karns City (Karns City, PA). The Gremlins enter the District 9 Region 1 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Karns City got by Moniteau (West Sunbury, PA), 56-7, in a league bout.

The now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Brockway for a non-league bout on Friday, September 19. Central Clarion [Clarion/Clarion-Limestone/North Clarion] will encounter a Rovers team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Brookville (Brookville, PA). The Rovers record now stands at 3-1.
