The Cherokee Chiefs were victorious over the host Grainger Grizzlies football team by a score of 60-30 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Chiefs face the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) in a 4A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, September 19. Cherokee will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Fighting Cyclones enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 31-21 league win over Volunteer (Church Hill, TN).

The Grizzlies (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Cougars enter the 4A Region 1 test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Northview Academy topped Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN), 28-8, in a non-league test.
