Iowa High School Football - Underwood can't hold off Clarinda

The Clarinda Cardinals held off the visiting Underwood Eagles football squad by a count of 35-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cardinals now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chariton for a 2A Group 8 challenge on Friday, September 19. Clarinda will face a Chargers team coming off a 32-20 non-league loss to Centerville (Centerville, IA). The Chargers record now stands at 1-2.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Tri-Center (Neola, IA). The Trojans go into the 1A District 8 challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Tri-Center was nipped by Hinton (Hinton, IA), 40-26, in a non-league test.
