The Russell County Lakers football squad scored 36 points and limited the host Clay County Tigers to 22 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lakers now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Taylor County for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Russell County will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 30-0 non-league win over Newport (Newport, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-0.
The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Rowan County fell by Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY), 39-21, in a non-league game.
