The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Connetquot T-Birds (Bohemia, NY) and the visiting Newfield Wolverines (Selden, NY), witnessed Connetquot's football squad wallop Newfield by a tally of 42-6.

The T-Birds (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Bellport (Brookhaven, NY). The Clippers enter the Section 11 Division II contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Bellport was trounced by East Islip (Islip Terrace, NY), 22-10, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wolverines battle the Moravia Blue Devils (Moravia, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 13. Newfield will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
