North Carolina High School Football - Weddington over Crest

September 12, 2025: Shelby, NC 28152

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) and the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), witnessed Weddington's football squad knock off Crest by a tally of 31-10.

The Warriors (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars enter the Southern Carolina 6A/7A contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Charlotte Catholic gained a win over Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 28-21, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers battle the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A contest, on Friday, September 26. Crest will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.
