Crittenden County Rockets (Marion, KY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN), 21-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Crittenden County advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Rockets travel to Mayfield (Mayfield, KY) to play the Cardinals in a 2A District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. The Cardinals go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Mayfield won 39-3 in their recent non-league battle against McCracken County (Paducah, KY)

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Halls for a 2A Region 7 battle on Friday, September 19. Union City will play a Tigers team coming off a 49-6 league loss to Huntingdon (Huntingdon, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
