North Carolina High School Football - Holmes thwarted by Currituck County

September 12, 2025: Barco, NC 27917

Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 56-46 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Currituck County advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Bertie (Windsor, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 0-4. Bertie lost 18-6 in their recent non-league battle against Washington County (Plymouth, NC)

The Aces now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host First Flight for a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. Holmes will play a Nighthawks team coming off a 30-12 non-league win over Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-3.
