Iowa High School Football - Dowling Catholic tops Dallas Center-Grimes

The Dowling Catholic Maroons football squad scored 27 points and limited the host Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs to 0 in the Maroons league triumph on Friday.

The Maroons now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Southeast Polk for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Dowling Catholic will meet a Rams squad coming off a 35-20 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Rams record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Dallas Center-Grimes drops to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA) to face the Roughriders in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. The Roughriders go into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Roosevelt lost 49-0 in their recent league test against Ankeny (Ankeny, IA)
