Tennessee High School Football - Friendship Christian edged by DeKalb County

In Friday's non-league outing, the DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN) football squad tipped the visiting Friendship Christian Commanders (Lebanon, TN), by a margin of 21-17.

The Tigers now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Macon County for a 4A Region 4 outing on Friday, September 19. DeKalb County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 44-7 non-league win over Trousdale County (Hartsville, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 4-0.

With the defeat, Friendship Christian drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Commanders host Clarksville Academy (Clarksville, TN) to clash with the Cougars in a Division II-A Middle outing on Friday, September 19. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 2-2. Clarksville Academy lost 58-0 in their recent league game against Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN)
