Iowa High School Football - Grundy Center prevails Dike-New Hartford

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Grundy Center Spartans football squad scored a good 35-7 triumph over the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines.
The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA). The Cardinals come into the 1A District 3 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura was dropped by Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA), 53-0, in a non-league battle.
The Wolverines now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Oelwein for a 2A Group 4 battle on Friday, September 19. Dike-New Hartford will play a Huskies team coming off a 52-20 non-league loss to Union (La Porte City, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 0-3.
