California High School Football - Fernley trounces South Tahoe

September 12, 2025: South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

In Friday's league match, the visiting Fernley Vaqueros football squad scored a decisive 54-14 victory over the South Tahoe Vikings.

The Vaqueros (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Spartans enter the 3A Northern match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Spring Creek was routed by Truckee (Truckee, CA), 22-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Vikings meet the Elko Indians (Elko, NV) in a 3A Northern match, on Friday, September 19. South Tahoe will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 4-0 record after their 42-6 league win over Dayton (Dayton, NV).
