North Carolina High School Football - Lake Norman Charter thwarted by Forestview

September 12, 2025: Huntersville, NC 28078

Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 42-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Forestview improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Jaguars host Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC) to play the Mountaineers in a Big South 5A/6A battle on Friday, September 19. The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 3-1. Kings Mountain lost 28-21 in their recent non-league test against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, Lake Norman Charter drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Cardinals in a Catawba Shores 2A/3A/4A test on Friday, September 19. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 2-1. Corvian Community won 25-12 in their recent non-league challenge against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
