The Frankfort Panthers felled the visiting Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals football squad by a margin of 41-30 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mancelona for a Northern Michigan - Legacy test on Friday, September 19. Frankfort will meet a Ironmen squad coming off a 14-8 non-league loss to Ravenna (Ravenna, MI). The Ironmen record now stands at 2-1.
With the defeat, Johannesburg-Lewiston drops to 0-3 on the year. The Cardinals host Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI) to face the Rams in a Northern Michigan - Legacy challenge on Friday, September 19. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Harbor Springs lost 44-6 in their recent league challenge against Glen Lake (Maple City, MI)
