Virginia High School Football - Hanover nudges Freeman

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Hanover Hawks football squad scored a close 7-0 victory over the Freeman Mavericks.
The Hawks (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Godwin (Richmond, VA). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Godwin was nudged by Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA), 23-21, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Mavericks play the Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 19. Freeman will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Royals go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 49-0 non-league win over J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA).
