George West Longhorns (George West, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Poteet Aggies (Poteet, TX), 48-14 in a non-league battle.

The Longhorns now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sabinal for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. George West will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 69-26 non-league loss to Geneva (Boerne, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Poteet drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Aggies host Pearsall (Pearsall, TX) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Mavericks come into the test with a record of 1-2. Pearsall lost 26-6 in their recent non-league test against Cotulla (Cotulla, TX)
