Nebraska High School Football - Mead thwarted by Guardian Angels Central Catholic

Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays (West Point, NE) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad thwart the visiting Mead Raiders (Mead, NE), 40-28 in a non-league match.

The Bluejays (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Homer (Homer, NE). The Knights come into the D1 District 2 (8 Man) match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Homer went down by Wausa/Osmond (Wausa, NE), 54-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Raiders meet the Centennial Broncos (Utica, NE) in a D1 District 6 (8 Man) match, on Friday, September 19. Mead will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Broncos go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 42-6 non-league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
