Sheldon Orabs (Sheldon, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks (Hartley, IA), 34-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Sheldon improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Orabs travel to Western Christian (Hull, IA) to play the Wolfpack in a 2A Group 1 battle on Friday, September 19. The Wolfpack go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Western Christian won 22-21 in their recent non-league battle against Spencer (Spencer, IA)

The Hawks now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Gehlen Catholic for a A District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will play a Jays team coming off a 21-0 league win over Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Jays record now stands at 1-2.
