The Herbert Hoover Huskies (Elkview, WV) football tipped the visiting Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV), 15-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Huskies now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a Cardinal outing on Friday, September 19. Herbert Hoover will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 45-8 league loss to Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 0-2.

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Riverside (Belle, WV). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Riverside held off St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 51-0, in a league game.
