Pennsylvania High School Football - Sharon can't hold off Hickory

September 12, 2025: Sharon, PA 16146

Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) fans left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA), 21-19 in a league test.

The Hornets now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Erie for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Hickory will meet a Royals squad coming off a 37-7 league loss to McDowell (Erie, PA). The Royals record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Sharon moves to 2-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Farrell (Farrell, PA) to face the Steelers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 20. The Steelers go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Farrell won 66-0 in their recent league challenge against Mercer (Mercer, PA)
