Texas High School Football - John Paul II sneaks past St. Anthony

The John Paul II Guardians football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting St. Anthony Yellowjackets to 22 in the Guardians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Guardians now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastside Early College for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. John Paul II will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 43-36 non-league loss to Thrall (Thrall, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, St. Anthony moves to 1-2 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to La Pryor (La Pryor, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 1-2. La Pryor lost 40-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX)
