    Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Kent Island Buccaneers (Stevensville, MD), 27-10 in a non-league battle.

    With the win, Middletown advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Knights host Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD) to play the in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Oakdale won 56-14 in their recent non-league match against Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD)

    Coming up next, the Buccaneers confront the Easton Warriors (Easton, MD) in a Class 2A1A East match, on Friday, September 19. Kent Island will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 34-13 non-league win over Parkside (Salisbury, MD).
