The Martin County Cardinals held off the visiting Knox Central Panthers football squad by a margin of 42-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cardinals now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby Valley for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Martin County will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 44-7 non-league loss to Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.
The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hazard (Hazard, KY). The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record.
