California High School Football - La Quinta thwarted by Mountain View

Mountain View Vikings (El Monte, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting La Quinta Aztecs (Westminster, CA), 19-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host South El Monte (South El Monte, CA) to meet the Eagles in a Mission Valley test on Friday, September 19. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-2. South El Monte won 35-7 in their recent non-league test against Garey (Pomona, CA)

With the defeat, La Quinta drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Glenn (Norwalk, CA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-2. Glenn won 48-13 in their recent non-league test against Compton Early College (Compton, CA)
