Texas High School Football - Sam Houston falls to MacArthur

The MacArthur Cardinals felled the host Sam Houston Texans football team by a score of 40-28 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 challenge, on Friday, September 26. MacArthur will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Vikings go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 41-27 non-league loss to Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX).

With the defeat, Sam Houston drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Texans host South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX) to meet the Warriors in a 6A Region I District 8 test on Friday, September 19. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 2-0. South Grand Prairie won 61-14 in their recent non-league test against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX)
